building my own personal life philosophy one day at a time, and one experience at a time, with authenticity as my first priority.

on this silly little blog of mine I often post about hooping, yoga, my intense love of science which forms my own heretical brand of spirituality, positive musings, and all forms of art. I hope you find something that inspires you ॐ

"I walk in stride with people
much taller than me
and partly it's the boots but
mostly it's my chi
and I'm becoming transfixed
with nature and my part in it
which I believe just signifies
I'm finally waking up."

Denver, Colorado - unveiled April 2012
Not only is the billboard near Mile High Stadium, it’s also right next to Mile High Liquors. The group Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol said on its website that the location was optimal because it will force some drinkers to confront their bias toward marijuana users. (via The Raw Story)

Yes!!!

Joe Rogan Live: March 28, 2012

“Who’s doing more harm? The guy who’s smoking pot or the person who locks him in a fucking cage and destroys their life, and does it because it’s written on paper somewhere that that’s okay? Well that guy is a destructive force. The law becomes the destructive force in society, not the drug. Don’t put people in cages because they don’t agree with you. Because they like something. They like it so much they’re willing to risk freedom, because they found themselves in some sort of a situation where they’re in an environment that they have no control over whatsoever. They were born into this. They didn’t ask to be dropped into this preposterous, illogical, nonsensical, ridiculously lopsided and corrupt society. And you just expect them to comply with these stupid fucking things that are written down on paper that everybody knows makes no sense. That’s the problem. The laws are the problem. The laws are destructive. The laws are anti-evolutionary. The laws are anti-enlightenment. That’s the problem. It’s not the drug. It’s not pot. It’s not mushrooms. It’s the laws against pot and mushrooms. Those are a devastating aspect to our society.”

And this is why the fact that I am “Virgo” means absolutely nothing at all. It definitely confuses me when people who seem to value science, logic, and reason also believe that their astrological signs have a profound effect on the person that they are. I feel that people can make themselves however they would like to be and are mainly influenced by their own life experiences. I feel that this view is much more liberating; putting more weight on personal choice and growth than what we are simply “born into.” Ah, well. Any fellow tumblr’rs disagree, I’d be interested to hear your side.

Spending my night making fabric flowers and watching Vagina Monologues on youtube, I found this breathtaking performance. Loving you, Eve Ensler <3

I have learned that dancing with your feet and dancing with your heart are different things, It sounds simple, but now I really understand that meaning, so I dont care if I smack my face with the hoop, or if it slips off, If I dont have extensions or great jumps, its all part of the learning experience. And so far Im loving it.
